Prince Royce and Shakira Reign!
Both artists took home four awards at the 2012 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards.
Two of our favorite celebrities, Prince Royce and Shakira, were the biggest winners at the twenty-fourth annual Premio Lo Nuestro Awards, with four statuettes awarded to each.
Prince Royce, who received five nominations, won in the following categories:
Collaboration of the year- “Ven Conmigo” with Daddy Yankee
Tropical Song of the Year- “El Amor Que Perdimos”
Male Tropical Artist of the Year
Contemporary Tropical Artist of the Year
Shakira, who along with Tito Bambino received the most nominations in this year’s awards ceremony-six each-, took home the following recognitions:
Artist of the Year
Female Artist of the Year
Album of the Year- “Sale El Sol”
Song of the Year – “Rabiosa”
For the wins, Prince Royce thanked his fans and stated that they are responsible for granting him the honor. He also extended gratitude to his record label, work team, and radio stations and retail as well.
During the ceremony, the urban artist also performed “Las Cosas Pequeñas” (“The Little Things”), the first single off Royce’s second bachata album “Phase II”, which drops on April 10th. Take a look:
