This year’s face of the Verizon Wireless “Mis Fabulosos Quince” campaign first captured many hearts with his “Stand by me” rendition of the Ben E. King classic. Now, the New York City born talent who is currently making noise with his “Mi Última Carta” single and joining the Enrique Iglesias “Euphoria” tour alongside hit maker, Pitbull, will have the honor of serenading the grand prize winner of the Quinceañera package. I’m talking about Premios Juventud’s 2011 “Voice of the Moment” winner and bachata music’s little prince, Prince Royce!
Latin music’s hottest new artist joins the “My Fabulous Quince” family adding an urban flair to the Quinceañera campaign where 12 lucky winners will be given an all-expenses-paid Quince party for 100 guests, a $2,500 college scholarship and a Verizon smartphone. In addition, one grand prize winner will win all the perks plus a live performance by Prince Royce at his/her Quince party. “I’m excited to be part of Verizon’s My Fabulous Quince and to be able to make one of my fan’s dreams come true,” said Prince Royce. “Growing up, I enjoyed going to Quinceañeras, and this time around I’ll have the chance to share that special moment with the grand prize winner.”

From now until August 31st, Quinceañera-hopefuls can enter the contest by submitting an essay online or at any of the Verizon Wireless My Fabulous Quince expos. The top finalist in each of the 13 eligible cities (Los Angeles, San Diego, Fresno, El Paso, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Tampa, Miami, Albuquerque, Secaucus, Chicago and Washington, D.C.) will receive a first prize package, which includes a Quince for 100 guests with all expenses covered by Verizon, as well as a $2,500 college scholarship and a Verizon smartphone.
Out of the 13 finalists, the one with the highest number of votes on myfabulousquince.com will be awarded the grand prize with all the perks and the exclusive Prince Royce performance at their Quince. Recognizing that more and more males are celebrating their Quince años as well, Verizon Wireless has decided to open the contest to boys. Elva Lima, executive director of community relations and multicultural communications at Verizon Wireless stated that although the tradition marks a coming of age milestone for a young lady, more 15-year-old boys are celebrating this cultural event as well. “This tradition has long been celebrated by Latino families across the United States… [My Fabulous Quince] will give a young lady or man the Quince of their dreams, [and] we encourage teens of all backgrounds to join us by participating in My Fabulous Quince.”
