Young Goethe In Love

Here is the opportunity to get inspired by Göethe, the author that embodied the romantic spirit that has made various generations cry over a broken heart. Phillip Stölzl (“Northface”) directs “Young Goethe In Love“, a refreshingly innocent period romance film about the young Johann Göethe (Alexander Fehling), who later became the quintessential author of the romantic novel genre.

If you dream on having an authentic romantic Quince party filled with young poets in love, passionate duels, impossible love and beautiful period dresses. Don’t miss the opportunity to watch this movie which opens on Friday Nov. 4 in Los Angeles!

The story happens in Germany in 1772, when the tumultuous Johann Goethe (Alexander Fehling) aspires to be a poet; but after failing his law exams, he is sent by his father (Henry Huebchen) to a sleepy provincial court to mend his ways. Unsure of his talent and eager to prove himself, Goethe
soon wins the praise and friendship of his superior Kestner (Moritz Bleibtreu). But then Lotte (Miriam Stein) enters his life, and nothing is the same as before. However, the young lovers are unaware that her father has already promised Lotte’s hand to another man.

The movie returns to the very wellspring of Romanticism and explores the fact that made possible for Goethe to write his magnificent autobiographical novel “The Sorrows of Young Werther”.
