Showcasing Quinceanera dresses collection’s that debuted at the Ontario Expo, fashion show sponsors Raul Corona and Moda 2000 presented a three-part show at the  San Diego Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show that took place on Sunday, October 14 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel San Diego.

The last fashion show of 2012 presented by Quinceanera.com gave attendees of its San Diego Quince Expo a taste of what the previous fashion show had to offer. Moda 2000’s presentation was a taste of the hundreds of catalog dresses the retailer offers, including short cocktail dresses in every color imaginable. Among the crowd favorites were a purple, blue and green sequined designs. Its collection of ball gowns followed the same rainbow-inspired theme and included sequined Quinceañera dresses in various colors as well.

The models for Moda 2000, which were part of the Casablanca Modeling & Talent Agency, wore makeup and hairstyle designs by Bellus Academy. The hairstyles of choice for the Moda 2000 fashion show were updo’s with braids— one of the latest trends of the season. Headbands, sun hats and head brooches adorned the hairstyles of the Moda 2000 models.

On the other hand, the collection of Mexican designer Raul Corona followed a much lighter color scheme. With a white, beige and pink color palette, the young designer re-showcased his Princess collection, which first captivated attendees at the Ontario Expo with its voluminous skirts and long, bride-like trains.

To amplify his fashion show, Corona once again included the talent of singer Melissa Samaniego who gave a live performance of two music classics. For the San Diego presentation, Samaniego paid homage to two musical icons: the late Selena Quintanilla-Perez and Whitney Houston, by singing the Tejano singer’s “I Could Fall In Love” and Houston’s “I Have Nothing”.

Hair for Raul Corona’s fashion show was done by Hair by Tere and Vintage Stylez. Makeup was done by the designer himself using Covergirl cosmetics, one of the Expo’s various sponsors. The designer’s hair adornment of choice were Quinceanera tiaras that were accompanied by pink feathered pieces.

Before choosing a dress for the coming party, we’d need to know our own body type in order to know which style would flatter ourselves.
