Here’s What to Do if You Hate Your Quinceañera Hair and Makeup

It’s the day of your quinceañera and your makeup artist has just revealed your final look and you immediately start to panic as you see raccoon eyes and bright bubblegum pink lips reflecting in the mirror.

At this point, you don’t have the time or the energy to become quinzilla.

Not to worry, this scenario can totally be avoided or easily taken care of if you simply follow our quinceañera hair and makeup tips!

Schedule hair & makeup trials

Even though hair & makeup trials cost extra, it’ll be totally worth it because you’ll know your final look before your big day.

Bring visuals

Save your favorite pictures from Instagram, Facebook, and magazines and hand them to your stylists. Having visuals rather than sharing a verbal idea will guide your stylists to achieve your desired look for your quinceañera hair and makeup! Just make sure you have the same hair texture as the celebrity or model in the picture.

Have a plan B

If you’re the type that rarely wears makeup, any makeup on your face will seem like a drastic change. And sometimes you think to yourself: maybe I just need to get used to it. But after snapping a couple pictures on your quinceañera, you realize you don’t like it after all. What to do? Ask your cousin who’s going to beauty school or your skilled friend to fix it for you. Assign that person ahead of time (a week before your quince) so they can bring their supplies on the day of your quinceañera for last minute touch ups.

Do it yourself

If you’re a beauty geek, you might as well do your hair and makeup. You’ll for sure like it! Not only will you be saving money, but you also get to keep the products for other looks in the future.

Simply say it!

If you don’t like your dark eyes or your messy up-do, tell them something! The worst thing you can do is pretend you like it and later regret your photos. And trust us, those photos will be seen by everyone! You could say something like “I like the shade you chose for my lips but I feel like my eyeshadow isn’t me, can you make it lighter?” Your makeup artists & hairstylists want you to feel beautiful on your big day and a happy customer is a valuable customer so, chances are, they’ll be more than happy to make the changes.
