Perhaps one of the few televised award programs where fans have control over the nominees and the award recipients is television network Univision’s “Premios Juventud Awards”. Now in its six year run, the annual awards ceremony continues its fan-voted awards show awarding Spanish-speaking celebrities in numerous categories including music, sports, fashion, film and pop culture. Speaking the language of its young, female-led audience, the Premios Juventud categories take on a youthful spin with “What a Hottie!”, “Must-Have Album” and “My Favorite Concert” award categories. Other categories unique to the awards show are “Best Dancer”, “Catchiest Tune”, “Paparazzi’s Favorite Target”, “My Ringtones”, “Best Female Athlete” and “Best Male Athlete”, to name a few. |
