10 Things to Cut From Your Quinceañera
Think it’s impossible to spend under your quinceañera budget and still have a luxury-looking party? Think again!
There are plenty of things you don’t need at your party if you’re on a tight quinceañera budget. In fact, your guests won’t even notice you skipped the following items:
1. Programs: Only a couple people will keep your program after the event, the rest will be thrown away.
2. Switch the good champagne: No one will notice the difference between good champagne and the rest.
3. Save the date cards: Call or create an event on Facebook, letting your guests know the date of your quinceañera (you’ll be saving trees). Even if you don’t know the details, they can at least save the date.
4. Party Favors: Save the party favors from collecting dust, the pics are enough to remember your quinceañera.
5. Guest List: Invite the important people in your life, after all, it’s your party. Consider cutting the friends of your friends from the guest list if you don’t even talk to them.
6. Limo: You just need a ride from point A to point B. Ask your uncle with the cool 1966 Mustang or your cousin with the new sports car to give you a ride or glam up one of your parent’s cars for the pics.
7. Open Bar: You don’t need drunk guests to steal the attention. Skip the liquor altogether, or look for cheaper options such as beer and wine.
8. Flowers: There are other alternatives you can use (e.g., candles) that will beautifully decorate your venue. Your bouquet could be made with natural flowers since it will be photographed throughout the day.
9. Last Doll: Are you creeped out by porcelain dolls? Then don’t have one! Barbie dolls and Cabbage Patch Kids will do the trick (and they aren’t creepy).
10. Court of Honor: Do you know how much drama and expenses you would drop if you chose not to have a court?! Quite a lot! Have your quinceañera be all about you!
