Last Sunday, September 20, was a very special day for many girls. Despite the day and temperatures reaching over 100 degrees in the city of Ontario, many girls made an appearance for their makeover session at Cesar Beauty Salon. It was a “two-for-one” deal: to experience a makeover while helping raise funds for PADRES Contra el cáncer organization.

All the girls had to do was to get into the hands of a team of six professionals led by celebrity stylist José Carrión. The team worked tirelessly from 11am to 3pm to make all the girls look more beautiful than what they already are, and for a good cause. Mission accomplished!

“This is the second time we’ve decided to donate our time to help families affected by childhood cancer, and the truth is that we could not be any happier,” said José Carrión. “The positive thing about this event is that, besides raising money, we are also raising awareness among young girls. They are learning about the importance of getting involved in humanitarian causes.”

That was the case of Ingrid Campos, a 17 years-old girl from El Salvador who decided to come from Rancho Cucamonga to support those affected by cancer. “I’m really enjoying being part of this touching event. My hair and make-up were done for only $35 and all this money is destined for patients in need. Today, I can brag among my friends about looking great and having done something good for others. ”

Ingrid, like the rest of the attendees who came to the hair salon, ended their new hairstyle look with a make-up makeover courtesy of Claudia Chiu from Sexy Makeup Studio. Claudia Chiu didn’t hesitate to participate in this cause after learning that Quinceanera.com was behind the initiative. “Both, my team and I, have been part of other charity events and the feeling at the end of the day is priceless. We are happy to be here today.”

The complimentary before and after photo shoot was the cherry on top for the attendees of this exciting event! During the photo shoot, Keven Ramírez, radio star of Super Estrella and ambassador for PADRES Contra el Cáncer, also participated with the upbeat energy that characterizes him.

“I feel great to be here today and to help raise awareness about the need to support families and those affected with terminal diseases. First, it was in Burbank and now, in Ontario. I hope that in the near future we can make a tour throughout California and promote this initiative in different cities. It is beauty for a good cause!”

The second edition of this beauty event “Change your look for a good cause” collected nearly $600 that will go entirely to PADRES Contra el Cáncer. This was an event presented by the multi-platform party planning brand, Quinceanera.com, and stylist José Carrión. Other contributors to the event were Claudia Chiu and Monica Carrasco from Sexy Makeup, stylists Cesar Maldonado, Michael Valencia, Lily Martinez, Sergio Ochoa, Diana Vallejo, Ada Luz Susino, and photographer, Barbara Hidalgo.
