I was terrified when I read the reviews after I quickly booked a one night stay at this hotel last minute, but it ended up being almost perfect for what my family of five needed. We were flying out the next morning from SNA and it is conveniently close to the airport. We paid around $20 to valet park our vehicle overnight and we arrived late and were told that the AC was out for the whole building. They kindly offered to move us to a third party hotel, but it was so late we opted to stay and it ended up fine since we had a second floor room with a patio and could leave the sliding door open for air. The lobby was very nice and complimentary breakfast excellent. I deducted NO smell of mold in the entire hotel including our room and the room itself was quite nice although I would have appreciated a screen door at the patio. Overall a good stay!!

So where do I start, we drove in from Phoenix and booked this hotel for three nights. We usually stay at embassy suites and this location is nothing like the other locations. Now, this is our first night and we are currently still here but I’m very disappointed. The first room we had, had stuff on the floor and windows from the previous guests I assume had a whitish substance on it from the inside of the window, so I complained and they switched us rooms which was nice of them but, the second room we got had hair everywhere in the bathroom, we are talking big clumps, very disgusting especially when I have two kids and in addition to that the towels were stained. Ok that’s one issue the second issue was the large sewer roaches in the swimming area and in the pool as well, which my wife and kids are terrified of. The only reason we haven’t left is because they already charged me but I am going to have to talk to a manager or someone who can do something about this, I really am paying a lot of money for what I thought was a good hotel not a knights inn.

!!!STAY AWAY from this hotel!!! From now on, I will not trust Embassy Suites or Hilton brand hotel. I will read feedback before booking any hotels!!!! We had multiple families going to California for Christmas and new year gathering. Due to previous great experience with other Embassy Suites, I encouraged other families to book at the same hotel ended I ruined their vacation stay. We stayed there for a week... The worse Embassy Suites, period! We will absolutely never return to that hotel... Pros: 1. Nathan, Ha and Stacy at front desk are very helpful 2. Not great but good breakfast 3. Good happy hour drink and snacks 4. Same suite layout comparing to the other Embassy Suites Cons: 1. Even the front desk are helpful, most of them looked exhausted. Some are not friendly due to overwhelming issues from customers 2. Bedroom smells moldy due to no air circulation. No air running if the outside temperature is between 50s and 70s. The problem is the room is hotter in high 70s and smelly, hard to sleep and we have to open the sliding door and the front door several times a day, not to mention our room is facing highway and noisy! The toilet is not working properly. Also, for the first two days me and my friend had no shower curtain and the water leaks everywhere! I can't stand no more and I have to call to request the SHOWER CURTAIN so that we can installed that ourselves! 3. I'm very familiar with the area and stayed multiple hotels there, no hotels are charging parking fee except this hotel and it's $22 per day for self parking, not to mention the old card reader is hard to read, wasting time to get in and out the parking lot each time, TERRIBLE! 4. No towels. We were lucky to get one time tower changed for the entire week stay. My friends are not so lucky, they used the same tower for the entire week 5. Stain carpet in the hallway and bedroom 6. Old buildings that doesn't keep up maintenance 7. No 'Do Not Disturb" sign and we have to make our own 8. Fridge is not cold 9. Outdated gym 10. Darked, smelly and not clean laundry room in third floor, washers are all out except one. However, all clothes were very wet after washing, we need to use hand to squeeze the water out from the clothes and we need to put the clothes in the dryer three separate times, imagine doing simple laundry takes 4 hours. The bad part, the hotel has no coins and we have to go to the bank to get the coins. Summary, if you need laundry, do not use the hotel laundry 11. One of my friend has to change the room, apparently the room they received was trashed from last customer, clogged toilet and was full of trash! My friend shown to the manager and the manager was shocked and apologies and mentioned that they don't have enough staffs! 12. The other friend room has weed and moldy smell, but they gave up changing room 12. Remember to get the breakfast card for your children, even the front desk stated the children under 18 years old doesn't need the card for breakfast omelet. This is because the people who prepare the omelet stated 'one for each person' We are very disappointed with our stays and even we have so much issues, no compensation offered to offset our inconvenience... Not to mention that we cannot sleep well during our stay due to hot and smelling room, noisy from others partying late night.

Overall our experience was very poor and disappointed. Our family stayed here for several days during our holiday / vacation. Unfortunately this Hilton suites were no-where near the same experience we have had with some of the others Hilton suites we stayed in several years ago. When walking up to our room, most of the lifts were out of order and they were during the duration of our stay. The carpets leading up to our room were clearly dirty and stained. When we arrived in our room, it smelt mouldy, stale air, dark and gloomy. Opening the balcony door for fresh air was OK but couldn't leave it open all night, plus we had an infant. Turning on the A/C kept us warm, which is a plus. During the day when we were out and about, I'd leave the balcony door open, but when getting back, the room smelt like someone had been smoking weed, which I can't blame the hotel for, but that's what we came back too. We'd also walk to the otherside of the building to get the lift back down and you could get high walking past some rooms. Unfortunately we thought our rooms would be cleaned daily, but we had to ask for it to be cleaned, more for bins being emptied and fresh towels and when you do ask, it's like we've done something wrong. Going up and down the lift, we had the workers squeeze in with their trolleys, again don't want to put blame, but they have a job to do and I suspect there was no service lift and only limited lifts available for guests and workers. I would suggest, that the property have more bins, at least for guest to throw their rubbish out of their room, especially if the intention is not cleaning rooms daily. Thanks for breakfast too which got us going and an important part of our day, but the ladies helping out, have NIL personalities and speak very little English, I'm sorry but I can't speak Spanish and I did think I was in USA, not Mexico. Thanks also for the complimentary afternoon snacks and drinks which we enjoyed. Location was not bad, but you'd need a car and note that parking for us cost $22.00 daily.

ARE YOU TRAVELING WITH FAMILY/KIDS!? If I could rate this zero stars, I would. I don’t know where to start. As a former hotel manager… the standards at this establishment need attention. From the moldy bathrooms, no A/C, cleanliness of rooms, room phone not working, almost $400 on room deposit, plus a parking fee, lost and found protocols. Everything was a deception from what y’all portray online. -My bathroom had mold everywhere. Shower head was leaking even when completely shut off. Leaking into the carpet. I have pictures. -I asked the FD to fix my AC and I was given a portable fan. I was told “The hotel is old”. Nobody offered me a new room or a discount or a real solution. My one year old and I would wake up sweating because of how hot the rooms were at night. -my room only received house keeping two days, house keepers never vacuumed, patio curtains have stains, carpet needs to be shampooed and washed. BAD in room conditions. -I had to walk down stairs to get a hold of FD. In room phones do not work. A lot of outlets weren’t working -I had a hard timing understanding the room deposits and parking fee. -I lost my kids iPad for a whole 3 hours. GPS said it was at the front desk. I asked REP twice and she denied anything was turned in. I walked thru the lobby 2 times, panicking. I kept asking where the iPad was, I don’t want to think they were trying to steal my iPad after someone turned it in. Finally, I had to ask the security personnel for real assistance. He grabbed it from the back wall of the FD. Same workspace the FD rep was in. FD rep should’ve contacted which ever department tracks lost and found. I would like for someone to contact me for compensation/discount/refund. I came for a wonderful California/Disney experience and I’m leaving with an awful, ever lasting impression of California, Santa Ana, Hilton Embassy Suite…. I will say something positive. We were located 15 mins from Disney. Relatively close by. The breakfast spread was ideal from omelettes, pancakes, muffins, grits, Apple Juice, cereal and etc. Quite hotel, no crazy parties or suspicious activities that I saw.
