Now, Shakira won’t only share with you her songs and choreography, but you can now have her essence with you via her new perfume. The launch of “S by Shakira” shows her most intimate side, a perfume for girls that like her gets inspired by dreams.
A spell of jasmine, woods and vanilla
Shakira was deeply involved in the development of her “S by Shakira” fragrance, working with experts to find a fragrance that captures an authentic and unique essence. In creating the fragrance, Shakira explored her passion for expressing her preference for fragrances like strawberries and chocolate, baby skin, balsamic resins and the sweetness of honey.
“In many ways, creating a fragrance is like composing a song, you need a mixture of inspiration and perseverance to do well. As a song, perfume notes consists of distinct parts, who together form one harmony ”
That magic moment was when she found the smell of the natural blend of jasmine, sandalwood and vanilla, which marked the creative direction of the project.

“I think this perfume is a song that ends up being one of those unforgettable melodies, performed with only a few notes and chords, melodies that express much, come to our heart and captivate your senses. The simplest songs have always been the best songs,” says Shakira.
It is a sheer oriental fragrance, a modern interpretation of oriental structures, adapted and designed to transmit Shakira through a sensual caress of a breeze of jasmine, sandalwood and vanilla.
Always in motion
The presentation of the perfume bottle is a bright with flowing fluids that also has a charm that you can use. “The S symbol hanging from it is like a pendant, a charm that I wanted to offer the bottle,” says the multi-platinum star, who just released her new video for the single “Crazy”, recorded with the participation of Dominican singer El Cata.
You can use this song to rehearse for your Surprise Dance. This second single from her album “Sale el Sol” represents a fusion of musical identities, mixing elements of merengue and techno-percussion. Shakira’s new album, comes to be released worldwide on October 19th.
On September 15, 2010, Shakira kicked off her world tour “Sale el Sol” in Montreal, Canada. This tour will take Shakira to more than 20 U.S. cities and will continue to Europe, where she will be giving concerts until the end of the year.
