Things to do on Halloween

Halloween is NOT CANCELLED in 2020!

Not feeling like dressing up but wanting to do something spooktacular socially distanced or with a small group of friends and family?

Here are some fun ideas on how you should spend your Halloween

1) Host a movie night!

Ask your friends to bring Halloween classics such as: “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”, “Hocus Pocus”, “The Adams Family”, “Young Frankenstein” and or of course the always favorite, Burton’s best “A Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Corpse Bride”. Add pumpkin cake and hot chocolate to the mix and you’re guaranteed to have a fun Halloween night!

2) Pumpkin Carving!

Look for online video tutorials or search carving pumpkins for beginners. Have a small group of family/friends gathering so each of you can put those carving skills to the test. Although a terrific and fun idea, it must be done with the proper caution and preferably with the help of an adult. There are special pumpkin carving kits to make it easier especially for those who are new at this. Do your research and get your craft on!

3) Plan a Snack Fest!

With the help of your friends, create some extra-delicious Halloween treats you can enjoy, say perhaps during your movie night? Our favorite dishes include Spooky Fried Mozzarella Eyeballs, Tombstone Sandwiches, and pumpkin cupcakes. Prepare your favorite dish and post it on Instagram or Facebook. Make sure to tag us on Instagram @quinceañera to see the creative dishes you gals prepare.

4) Have a drive-by Trick or Treating Night

Plan to have family and friends drive by to pick up some candy and treats! Instead of dressing up yourself, you can plan for everyone to dress up their family vehicle. Or do both! Pick a location to drive by and host a contest with the best family vehicle in costume, wins! Even though this year has not allowed us to celebrate how we usually do, does not mean we can’t start a new way of celebrating Halloween. This could be a new tradition for years to come for you and your family to celebrate together. What feels so different can become a new trend!
