Now that you are being careful on your eating habits whether it is due to your upcoming Quinceanera or to enjoy a beach day on this summer season, we bring you healthy recipes to enjoy. According to an article published by Curves Magazine, grills will most likely be set for Christmas hence, here are a few recipes including your favorite food items to celebrate Christmas, in a healthy manner.

  • Delicious low in calories hamburgers:

Try cooking ground beef free of antibiotics, wheat bread and just the white of the egg. Don’t turn your burger into your enemy! You can also have turkey or vegetarian burgers, these are much healthier and you will see the difference it makes.

  • Improve your fries:

Adding olive oil when frying your fries not only makes them delicious but healthy as well. Baking fries is another delicious and healthy alternative.

  • Diet tacos:

Use wheat tortillas and grill the meat, pork or fried fish. Add salt and pepper, lettuce and tomato.

  • Healthy potato salad:

Mix red and white potatoes to make a nutritious salad. If you add mayonnaise make sure it is diet, the flavor is almost the same but the difference is huge. Use fresh vegetables and add a spoon of olive oil, vinegar and Dijon mustard. This elements combination creates a salad rich in protein.

Don’t feel guilty when eating this dessert, it contains fat free sweeteners and skim milk.

4 cups of skim milk
¼ cup of unsweetened cacao powder
1 cup of sugar
3 teaspoons of water
4 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla


Mix the milk, the cacao, the cinnamon and ¼ cup of sugar. Let it boil from 20 to 25 minutes until the milk is soaked. Pour water and ¾ cup of sugar in a medium bowl and heat it for 1 minute, stir until the sugar is dissolved. Pour this on a flan base and shake it a little bit.

Beat the eggs and add a Little bit of milk. Pour ½ cup of water inside the base and cover it with foil paper. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until the flan is thick. Then place the dessert inside the fridge and eat once is extremely cold.
