Nothing can take your mind off of homework like a spring break getaway with your friends and family. If you are stressed out and need a place to take you away, check out these fun spring destinations on the West Coast.

Not only will these options be relaxing and fun spring break destinations without breaking your wallet, but they are great choices for Quinceanera destinations as well!

Camping in Yosemite

Yosemite offers many family fun activities including kayaking, bicycling, sight-seeing, and hiking. There are a variety of trails ranging from easy to hard so be sure to ask your guide which trail is perfect for you. One of the most famous trails in the park is the hike to Half Dome’s peak, but while this trail may be one of the most beautiful sights to see in Yosemite, it is also very strenuous.

If you plan on this undertaking, we recommend at least one month of training.

If you are looking for a more leisurely hike, a very popular trail would be a hike up to Bridalveil Falls. If you are looking or an elegant dinner with family and friends check out the The Majestic Yosemite Hotel’s Grand Sunday brunch!

Watch the Sunrise over the Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon will provide you with a culturally rich experience as well as an exciting spring break destination. Learn about Indian tribes long ago, endangered animals such as the California condor, or attend an evening program discussing some of the major players in the development of this Park throughout American history. The Grand Canyon is one of the most popular spring break destinations!

Take a Dip in Castaic Lake

Looking for a peaceful spring break destination away from the drama of city life? Try camping at Castaic Lake!

A secret getaway that will be a relaxing spot for your next family gathering. Camp on the strand as you take in the beautiful scene around you. There are many family friendly activities to choose from including fishing, waterskiing, boating, and swimming.

Embark on an Adventure in Catalina Island

Can’t afford to splurge on a Hawaiian getaway for your spring break destination? Check out Catalina Island for the island experience, literally you will feel like you are in another country rather than just 22 miles from the Californian coastline.

Go Off The Grid In Slab City

This world famous squatter camp  is an amazing place to visit. Now known as one of the last truly “free” places to live on Earth. Also remember to bring a camera, you will definitely see beautiful grafitti art and meet fun locals.

Feast Your Eyes on Picturesque Vista Points in Big Sur

Big Sur is without a doubt one of the most beautiful beaches in California. We recommend driving along Highway 1 to take in the beautiful coastline of California. Big Sur is the closest thing to heaven on Earth, we promise!
