Gather your closest friends for a do it yourself spa night.
This weekend forget the movies or going out and invite your closest friends over to your house for a do it yourself spa night. It’s the next best thing to a facial at a fancy spa or maybe better since you’ll get to hang out with your friends.
STEP 1. Start everyone out with a facial steam to cleanse your face and open up your pores. To prepare you face steam; bring a big pot of water to boil on the stove. After it comes to a boil pour a portion of the boiling water in a bowl for each girl and then grab a towel and hold your face over the steaming water for about 5-10 minutes while covering yourself with the towel. The steam will open up your pores so that your mask will pull all the dirt and impurities from your pores.
STEP 2. Choose from one of these amazing and easy homemade masks or try all three.
Banana Mask- Bananas are a great way for your body and skin to stay hydrated. For the banana mask all you do is mash up a few bananas and spread them thinly over your face and neck. Leave on for 10-20 minutes and then rinse bananas off your face with warm water. Your face will be left feeling moisturized and smooth.
Oatmeal Mask- The oatmeal mask is great for treating redness or inflammation of your skin. Use instant oatmeal and be sure to buy plain oatmeal, you don’t want any added ingredients. Prepare a serving of the oatmeal and add two tablespoons of honey to the hot oatmeal and allow to cool. Once it’s cool you can apply to your face. Leave on the mask for around 10 minutes and then gently wash your face with warm water.
Mayonnaise Mask- Before you curl your nose promise to give this one a try. You don’t have to spend money on fancy facial creams if you have mayonnaise on hand in the fridge. First make sure you have whole egg mayo and not anything low fat, then spread the mayonnaise on your face in a thin layer and leave on for 20 minutes. When you’re finished rinse off with cool water and your skin will be left feeling super soft and smooth.
STEP 3. To finish your facial tone and moisturize you face. You want to tone your face to close up your pores after the steam and mask. You can make a gentle toner with lemon juice and water. Use one tablespoon of lemon juice and a cup of water; apply to face with a cotton ball. Finish up with a gentle moisturizing lotion or cream.
There you have it, your very own home spa treatment in three easy steps. If you are inviting friends buy some popcorn and have a few good movies picked out to watch while you pamper your skin. Have fun and remember YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.
