The latest trend in Quinceañera invitations is…

The type of paper, finish and material used in the lace have all become main elements in Quinceañera invitations.

One of the elements that have not gone out of fashion for Quinceañera celebrations are the invitations. Despite the rising popularity of digital invitations, most Quince girls prefer the more traditional way of sending invites by mail or distributing them among friends and family.

“There are invitations for all likes and tastes, and although the most popular colors are variations of fuchsia, pink, purple, and turquoise, the newest trend is using satin paper with ties that are either ribbon or lace with different designs such as the zebra print, one that is highly requested nowadays,” says Karla Ornelas. She is the owner of Rene Graphics & Printing, a print shop located in South Gate, CA who says that Quinceañera invitations account for about 75 percent of orders.

Another detail that appeals to Quinceañeras is the brooch used to hold the ribbons together, which can be made out of crystal, pearls, or other materials that add an elegant touch to the cards.

The card’s finish is also a changing element. The envelopes have modern cuts and folds that are either subtle or bold, depending what the Quinceañera is looking for. According to Ornelas, they can make custom invitations and have a sample before receiving the final product.

The advantage of hiring a print shop is that they can have your invitations ready in a short amount of time. “If you place your order at least one week in advance, we will have them printed on time,” says Ornelas.

We recommend searching several print shops so you can compare prices and choose the one that’s right for you. Most shops ask for an order deposit that ranges from 30 to 50 percent of the total amount. You make the final choice.
