Fall/winter 2016 Favorite Trends

The most fashionable season is finally here! It’s time for cool boots, awesome coats, sweaters and scarfs.

Now that all the fashion shows have passed, we are pointing out the some of the best styles we’ve seen, which can also be worn on a daily basis. Enjoy.

This year, there were a lot of interesting hairstyles. Designers have decided to break the rules and make new, textured hairstyles, different for every model out there. But, if we were to point out only our favorites, curls, waves and buns would definitely win.

Lately, a lot of designers are obsessed with curls. Almost 50 percent of models rocked some kind of curls. From dark tones, over ombre, all the way to the blonde or almost white colored curls, they have shown that this hairstyle can actually suit everyone.

From professionally curled, to those that originated from braids – we saw them all. We believe that they were made with special hairstyling gadgets, but you can easily make this hairstyle yourself without all the heat – just sleep with braids.

Say goodbye to ponytail and give a warm welcome to its chicer and far more elegant cousin – the bun. From messy loops to classy slicked buns, they are taking over the fashion world. Many models from Dior to Valentino rocked all kinds of buns.

When it comes to makeup, we are going to point out twiggy eyelashes combined with strong red or vampy (blood red, black or dark purple) lipstick. The eyelash trend takes us back to 2014 when it originally started, even though it was inspired by the sixties fashion. The whole point was to keep your makeup as minimal as possible. Bare face, brushed eyebrows and a lipstick that is almost invisible, combined with long, dark eyelashes accentuate the eyes perfectly. Now, when the designers decided to point out the lips as well, the real magic happened. By doing this, your whole face gets depth and you look far more elegant. You can find almost identical makeup online and recreate all those fun looks at home.

A fun and refreshing surprise was the fact that the designers decided to introduce various colors to otherwise dull and gloomy fall and winter clothing pieces. Rich and elegant colors like red, mustard, dusty cedar, shark skin, purple, lush meadow and clay ruled the catwalks, and really made the audience super excited. We are finally going to have a colorful fall.

One thing is certain: the ankle boots will never go out of style. They are versatile, cute, elegant and sexy. With all that, they are really comfortable since they support your ankles very well, which makes them perfect for rocking the city streets.

Another type of boots that may come as a surprise are the velvet boots. They are super-cute, a bit peculiar and they come in a variety of colors.
Oh, and you know what else came back? The combat boots. If anything screams “you don’t want to mess with me“, even if you are in the cutest floral dress in the world, these boots do.
So there you have it. We hope you’ll like these trends as much as we did, as they will definitely keep you warm, while making you look fabulous!
