The young singer with Mexican and Filipino roots now represents a clothing and accessories brand for teenagers like herself.
The Japanese brand Tokidoki, which uses pop culture to create clothing, beauty products, and accessories for teenage girls, has chosen the new and charismatic Jasmine Villegas as their new image.
The brand’s CEO, Ivan Arnoldo, states “We are happy to work with Jasmine. She will send our message to our consumers in a fresh, natural, and fun way.”
Villegas, an 18 year-old singer who has both Mexican and Filipino heritage, has become a sensation due to the thousands of followers in her social media profiles as well as her opening shows for Justin Bieber’s “My World” tour.
When she was 7 years-old, Jasmine won a contest in San Jose, California, as the best Hawaiian Tropical singer, which motivated her to record her first video in September 2011. Despite not launching an official music album, Jasmine has a large fan base.
“I am happy to be the new image for Tokidoki,” says Jasmine. “I love the brand’s style and everywhere I go girls come and ask me that they love the brand.”
The new partnership will feature several appearances by Jasmine at local stores, special events, and more.
