7 Time-Saving Beauty Hacks You Need to Know

Mia Taylor

The good old #Iwokeuplikethis is still trending, although – we all know that looking fabulous the moment you wake up has absolutely nothing to do with being careless about your beauty routines and everything to do with proper beauty regimen and awesome genetics.

Just as it happens with all good things in life, looking fantastic takes time. With lives we lead, it’s impossible to dedicate more than an hour to yourself (if you are employed and don’t work in the fashion/beauty industry, that is) but what you can do is find a routine that suits you best and cut all the beauty pains in half.

Here’s a helpful list of beauty hacks on how to look gorgeous in no time.

1. 2 in 1 Products

Don’t waste your precious time by using various products one at a time; rather, try to save as many hours as possible by using 2 in 1 products. This way, you’ll be able to apply a foundation while at the same time powdering your nose.

2. Buy Quality

Screen Shot 2017-02-14 at 9.18.10 AMYou can’t go round buying cheap makeup and beauty products and expect them to have the same effect as quality brands. Even more so, you can’t expect your skin to remain intact under poor quality choices now can you? Such products will ruin your skin over time, cause chronic skin conditions, impurities, blemishes, irritation and redness, and you’ll end up regretting that extra buck you didn’t want to spend.

With that in mind, make sure you have good quality on hand like Thalgo creams, because these investments are worth your health! With quality products as your primary choice you pretty much won’t need anything else.

3. Less Is More

Your morning makeup routine can take a lot of time, and unless you have an extra hour to fiddle around, it’s high time you turned to basics only.

Us women tend to stock up on products we rarely (or ever!) use, and before we know it – there’s no free room in the vanity! With this new approach of going minimal with your makeup and beauty routines, you may as well take the plunge and throw out or give away all of your unnecessary makeup!

4. Choose Lipstick Carefully

Beauty Hacks

Your choice in lipstick plays a crucial role in how long your makeup sesh is. Go for a lighter color and you’ll be on your merry way in a matter of minutes. Furthermore, it leaves you with plenty of options to combine other colors as well.

However, if you are too sassy for anything pale, choose matte dark lipsticks/lip glosses that need no penciling or filling in. Matte is an amazing choice for all the busy busy edgy gals out there.

5. Washing Hair

Beauty Hacks

Washing your hair can be a real drag, especially if it’s long and shiny. When you’re out of time, but you need to wash your hair, it’s time to consider washing it with dry shampoo. A real life and time saver when you’re in a hurry, although – make sure you don’t go overboard because spraying too much of it may leave your hair with (ugly) white flakes that resemble dandruff. Eeeek!

6. Put Your Hair Iron to Good Use

Ok, this one’s a bit weird but practical! So, when you’re ironing your hair, make sure to use it for ironing the edges of your clothes too. This’ll come in handy when you’re in a rush, and you notice your clothes are frizzy. Now you’ll look great and your clothes will be straightened as well. This works on long hair only, though.

7. Prepare Your Hair

Making sure your hair looks fabulous can be tedious and time-consuming. The best thing to do is do your hair in the evening, sleep on it and give it a little bounce in the morning with some hair spray and some teasing, for the much needed pizzazz. Done and fab!
