Although a great deal of attention of the 63rd annual Emmy Awards was on the five awards ABC’s “Modern Family” took home, including the “Outstanding Comedy Series” award, it was the show’s star, Sofia Vergara, that stole most of the attention. Dressed in a shoulder baring and figure flattering Vera Wang gown, the Colombian actress opted for light makeup in coral hues. In charge of Vergara’s youthful makeup, was Kayleen McAdams, celebrity makeup artist and little sister of actress Rachel McAdams.
To mimic Vergara’s runway makeup look, McAdams gives you a step-by-step guideline using COVERGIRL cosmetics, which you can purchase at your local drug store.
I started with Invisible Concealer in Honey under her eyes and then wherever she needed a little extra coverage. I then used Simply Ageless Foundation in Soft Honey (#255) and set that with the Clean Pressed Powder in Warm Beige (#145).
Sculpting Blush in Plush Peach was used on the apple of her cheeks and set that cream blush with Classic Colors Blush in Natural Glow.
For her eye shadow, I used the Queen Collection 1-Kit Eyeshadow in Hot Toffee along the crease, and the Liquidline Eyeliner in Black Fire along the top and bottom lash line. Then, I used Queen Collection 1-Kit Eyeshadow in Black Tie along the top and bottom lash line to set the eyeliner. Finally, I gave her lashes a coat of mascara with Lash Blast Volume mascara in Very Black.
COVERGIRL has numerous lip colors to choose from, but for Vergara’s coral-tones makeup, I used LipPerfection Lipcolor in Rapture (#280). It looked beautiful!
