Project quince is open to quinceaneras all over the U.S and the winner will be announced on Valentine’s day!
Penelope Bellerjeau is a sixteen-year-old model, actress, and founder of the PenelopeB Foundation Inc. She uses her platform to share her real-life experiences and bring awareness against bullying. Bellerjeau states, “ I remember being in the car with my parents at eight years old and asking them if I could make and sell t-shirts. My favorite design was “Eres Bella”, it was a reminder to myself and everyone who wore and read the shirt that they were beautiful”.

Bellerjeau continues, “From a young age I have loved blogging, writing, dancing, and most importantly planning yearly outreach events. This brings me to “Project Quince”. Over the summer, I celebrated my Quince in June 2021. Although it was originally scheduled for Jan 2021. Covid-19 took over our plans and I had to minimize my guestlist and push the event”.

“In 2020, I went to Quince Dresses in NJ and picked a Ragazza gown. The owners, Cris, and his wife were extremely kind people. They even invited me to a Good Morning America interview about quince planning during a pandemic. I knew that I wanted to talk to him about an idea – Project Quince. Cris smiled and said, “go for it, you can count on me”. He donated a Quince dress valued at up to $1000”, states Penelope.
Note from Penelope:
“It takes a lot of courage to share your dreams with anyone, especially adults. Rejection can be tough, but I took a chance, and here we are today. I am excited to see where this journey will take me. The submissions continue to come in, and reading the stories shared by future quinceaneras has touched my soul.” -Xo, Penelope
