
Just like there are many Hispanic serving institutions, there are scholarships just for Hispanic students as well. These Hispanic scholarships seek to promote heritage as well as achievement in the Hispanic community.
What Each Scholarship Offers
- Trustee Diversity Scholarship – Rice University: is available to admitted freshmen at Rice University. In order to qualify, you must demonstrate diverse life experiences and contributions to diverse groups. The scholarship award is $27,000! Rice University is a great private school that may be the perfect option for you.
- Claver Scholarship: is available to African-American, Hispanic, and Asian students. In order to qualify, you must have demonstrated superior academic ability and achievement. The scholarship award is $26,000!
- RMHC / HACER Scholarship: is available to graduating high school seniors who have at least one parent of Hispanic heritage. The minimum GPA requirement is a 3.0 adn be under the age of 21. The scholarship award is $25,ooo!
- William Randolph Hearst Foundation Endowed Scholarship – SCAD: is available to full-time, minority undergraduate students, basically entering Freshmen like yourself! To be eligible, you need a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have completed 45 credit hours. Savannah College of Art and Design is a great option for artistic students. Most public and private colleges are limited on art programs, this is why an all Art college may be the choice for you! The scholarship award is $16.1K!
Wherever you plan to attend, be sure to check out and apply to as many scholarships as you possibly can. Financial aid will help with books and tuition, but doesn’t cover the cost of everyday living or other school supplies besides textbooks.
