TLDR – Incredible DJ and MC. You should reach out and get on the phone with him as soon as possible. Very professional and put any worries we had aside about throwing a fun wedding. And then he delivered exactly what he promised, a fun and exciting wedding. More details – We just had our wedding this past weekend. When we were putting everything together for our wedding, our (my) biggest worry was making sure we would have a fun and upbeat wedding. I hate throwing parties because I’m nervous people will not have a good time. DJ Sota was our first call, and I was dreading going through the process of trying to pick the right DJ. From the start of our call he put us at ease with well-tuned questions, professional demeanor, and good nature. As soon as the initial call ended, we knew we wanted to go with him. We ended up doing our due diligence and looking around some more, but we kept comparing all our other initial calls with DJ Sota’s. After booking with him the process was fairly simple. We went with the silver package and added 4 dance lights. We had to fill out a detailed worksheet and do one other call to go over the worksheet. With some clarifying emails in between. The venue we had was on the smaller side. It switched from an outside ceremony to an inside reception, back to outside for dancing. He brought all the necessary equipment and because of the changing between events he had to alter his initial setup. Which seemed to be no issue. During the wedding DJ Sota was great to work with and explained everything that we needed to know. In our excitement, my wife and I did mess up a cue for our grand entrance but he was very gracious with us and was able to adapt on the fly. We also did an anniversary dance after our first dance. For the first dance he incorporated an edited song we gave him and it turned out great! The anniversary dance was almost an issue because my grandparents were reluctant to have the spotlight at the last second. We had to alter that plan quicky and he was able to accommodate the change. As an MC he ended up being able to get my grandparents to come out onto the dance floor with us and they had an amazing time! They said they hadn’t partied like that in decades. The music selections were perfect, and the guests have been commenting on how great the music was for the past few days. A lot of people danced for a good amount of the time we had, and the energy was kept up throughout the night. It was exactly what we had hoped for. Our guests and us had the best time we could have had! Plus, memories that will last for the rest of our lives. Thank you DJ Sota and West Coast Wedding DJs!

I had the pleasure of having DJ Sota DJ my wedding and he was absolutely fantastic! Dakota was extremely communicative throughout the entire process, making sure to go over our setlist and song choices in detail. He even took the time to double check everyone's names to make sure everything was just right. On the day of the wedding, Dakota arrived early to set up and was incredibly accommodating and helpful with two members of our wedding party who performed songs for us. Not only did he do a great job DJing, but he also served as an excellent MC, keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed. His professionalism and attention to detail really made our wedding day special. We found DJ Sota on yelp and read all the great reviews about him so we booked him for our wedding which was June 09. He’s very professional and very easy to get in touch with throughout the whole wedding planning which was great. He was very thorough and organized when we had meetings with him through the phone. Overall, the communication is great! So naturally, we were super excited to have him DJ our wedding. On the day of the wedding, all things were going well during the processional when until I (the bride) was walking down the aisle. Before I could reach the end of the altar, the music was cut abruptly with silence and then the beginning of the outro song started playing. I understand people make mistakes and we are humans after all. But everyone noticed this mistake because people came up to me after the ceremony and asked me what happened. It was my big moment after all and it didn’t pan out as planned. We were very upset about this because that was supposed to be my moment but instead it was ruined. Nonetheless, I was embarrassed and disappointed, but I just decided to shrug it off and move forward. In the end, DJ Sota tried his best to play all our song set list to make amends. I do hope that he does not make this mistake again to other brides out there. This was just my experience with hiring him as our wedding DJ.
