I think I may have played here ages ago, but I didn't remember it much. Knowing the layout is definitely beneficial, as there are a few doglegs here and there and traps in strategic spots. I was going to play whites but the people I walked on with were playing blues. That put the traps right in my range... And I got in 2 of them. I will say, compared to some other courses the traps were pretty darn well maintained. I was in the sand 5 times and it always played like it should. It wasn't hard pan, or anything crazy. The greens are not well maintained, but they run fast. The pins were in tricky spots. I was fixing ball marks on every green. So, they were soft, which was nice, you could attack the pin, but it seemed nobody fixed their marks. One guy in my group didn't fix his, 3 feet from where the ball was, and in my line. There was a break so I putted around it, then fixed it as I walked by. Last this is their are a few holes with water that can come into play and the trees are no joke. The fairways are ample, but you'll pay if you miss them. The grass is fairly typical but greatly maintained public grass with lots of patchy places. Overall, though, I'm not going to complain. It's my third round at the third course in 3 weeks, as I try to get back into playing. Oh, about the pace of play. Just over 2 hours on the front, but 2:40 on the back. That stunk. Prices are a bit higher than I remember, but with everything going on, it's no surprise. I'm just glad to get out.

I'd give 1 star but the course actually looked like a nice course to play at and the staff were kind enough to help us out twice. Had a tee time of 2:50 and didn't get called up until 3:50. Still had multiple groups ahead of us before we even got the chance to tee off. Went back for a refund before teeing off, which they gave us, and went to a different course in town. They also gave us a free bucket of range balls around 3:00 since they knew we'd still be waiting so long.

Should've looked at the reviews, the pace of play was the worst I've ever encountered. Not only that, but the pro-shop had no idea what they were doing. Kept adding people into the back 9 holes when there was traffic. No course marshal. The green condition were not the best either. I wouldn't play here again.

Relative to a typical course in Southbay LA it’s in decent shape, but I’ve never in my life been subjected to slower playing conditions. We had a 12:02pm tee time and couldn’t tee off until 12:30pm and we just finished a sub 90 round at 6:18pm. It was backed up all day at every Tee box(Sunday.) So if your plan is to get away from your significant other all day then this will be your course, otherwise I’d steer clear.

Writing this waiting on the 4th tee box. It took and hour and 20 minutes to finish 3 holes. Too many fivesomes and overbooking are the best!
