I was looking for a freshly made cake for my granddaughters 3rd birthday. It was very last minute, but I found Marrisaā€™s Cakes in Downey. I walked in and noticed the nice cake models on display. I also was able to see a customerā€™s cake that had just been finished and it looked really nice! Most of all I had been treated with quick and wonderful service! I am hoping that the cake is as good as my experience!

I only contacted the shop owner the day before my son's birthday and they were very nice and helpful and the experience was more than wonderful. The cake is very delicious and very beautiful and the cake pop and cookies taste very delicious. All my friends asked me where I got the cake. I recommend this shop, which provides everything you need for a birthday or any occasionā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Order the cake last minute for a last minute wedding. I was expecting much BUT they far exceed my expectations. Thank you for the beautiful cake and it tasted wonderful!

I placed an ordered a month a head of time. Recommend by family and friends, the reason for the 3 stars is because the way they communicate is horrible, they need to be more organized and write down notes on each cake. Cakes tasted good, maybe be a bit more friendly as these hard times a lot of businesses have closed and Marissaā€™s Cake should appreciate and value each customer. (I had requested Feliz CumpleaƱos Jakeyā€ per my order I guess they didnā€™t care much to check. (No need to reply)

I recently ordered a cake for my daughterā€™s birthday. It was a two tiered cake. I was very ecstatic about the cake as I assumed everything turning out great as I thought this was a professional place. However, the presentation of the cake was great at first, but once we cut the cake it did not meet our expectations. I was upset because we paid more than $100 and basically got a ā€œBetty Crockerā€ strawberry cake. It was literally short from a professional cake and more of an at home cake. The cake layers were not symmetrical where one layer of bread was way thicker than the next, it was not proportioned. Bottom line, if you want to order a cake go to a place that has better ratings and is familiar through someone you know.
