We've been talking about visiting the museum for a while now and glad we finally visited! The level of detail and quality of workmanship was exceptional. The newer works showed so much finesse, but the displays dated in the 17 and 1800s were a spectacular site to see. To have been preserved somewhere for so long is amazing. We will be going back in the near future because one cannot absorb all the fine details in one visit. As I looked at some of the pictures I'm posting I see things that I didn't notice during our visit! Amazing!!! I highly recommend visiting The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures in Tucson.

We arrived early and found this place totally by chance; it was such a nice surprise and my family spend a good 2 and half hour here.

I'd seen pictures of the pencil lead sculptures before but photos/videos can't do them justice. Fascinating history of miniatures and the technical information on their creation alongside the exhibits. One of Tucson's must-sees.

This was my first visit. I brought my 8-year-old grandson, who loved the scavenger hunt, which really prolonged his interest and made him want to look at all of the displays. The staff were great, enthusiastic and patient. The displays are lovely, but shorter people have difficulty seeing all of the details, so it might be nice to allow them access to some sort of platforms in strategic areas. This is a wonderfully curated collection and I was quite impressed. I don't think younger children would enjoy it as much, because it's not interactive and it would be difficult to see from a stroller.
