Tips for a Modern "Boho" Cinderella Quinceañera

The Cinderella theme is very classic and timeless. Although we love this theme, we wanted to reimagine Cinderella with a Bohemian style.

Cinderella-style stories have existed for a long time in Latin culture. For example, there is the story of Domitila, a cook and leather goods artist guided by the spirit of her deceased mother, not by the classic fairy godmother. "A rich young man who seeks her is initially in love with Domitila's cooking but learns to appreciate and love her deeper qualities."

Adelita is another story that reflects Disney's Cinderella with a cultural touch. After the death of her parents, Adelita suffers mistreatment from her stepmother and stepsisters until she meets her true love at a party. We drew inspiration from Shawna Yamamoto Event Design's recent Porch Parties.

We saw pampas grass and dried flowers. We loved the "boho" feel of their events. There were so many beautiful textures. We thought about how to complement both, and that's how our "Boho" Modern Cinderella was born.

As a Quinceañera designer, I love having creative freedom to dream of something. Dare to be bold and different. I love adding new and unique colors and textures. I knew I wanted to keep the traditional colors but give it a monochromatic touch. There is a psychology in the colors you choose for your theme. The color blue creates a very relaxing effect.

The Quince Vibe we wanted was traditional but modern, classic, and fun. We wanted to give this fairy tale a different twist. We thought about the cake, the dress, the accessories, the shoes, the decoration, the princess chair, etc. and wanted to keep some things traditional like the dress but give new life to the decoration.
