Johana Hernandez: A Young Latina Fashion Designer With Modern Quinceañeras In Mind

Black-and-white monochrome photography of a woman holding a camera at a Quinceanera event She’s the founder of Latinos Con Corazón, a non-profit organization that fuses fashion, music, beauty and celebrities, to raise funds for children and women in need. She’s also a power source in lines such as Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Lovers, Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, and Seven 7 Jeans. Now, the 24 year-old Salvadoran-American prepares to launch her own line under the name of GLAUDI, which according to the designer, is a collection of modern elegance fit to dress the young an old with celebrity styles in mind.

The debut of her collection is set to take place at the second annual Latinos Con Corazón presented “Estilo Con Causa” (Style For A Cause) event where Latino celebrities will walk the runway in the fashions of various Latino designers including Tony Ynot, Haus de Estrada of  ‘Project Runway’ fame, Adolfo Sánchez, Dos Gallos by Ignacio and Zoro Rodriguez, and Endure y Cano by Richard Orozco. Ex-RBD member Christian Chávez, American Idol finalist Allison Iraheta, actress Fernanda Romero, and Stephanie Himonidis “La Chiquibaby” are a few of the enlisted celebrities. This year’s “Estilo Con Causa” (Style For A Cause) proceeds will go to “Hogar Padre Vito Guarato”, a home for orphan children with disabilities and the “Nuevo Eden School”, both in El Salvador.

In this sneak peek into her GLAUDI collection, Johana Hernandez presents a truly avant garde Quince gown and a fabulous mini dress perfect for all of those Quinceañera social gatherings, and shares with Quinceanera.com her success story as an established Latina fashion designer.
