Christian Siriano presents his new collection
Exclusive, comfortable, and affordable designs make up the new collection that the renowned fashion designer has created for Payless, the popular shoe and accessory store.
At just 21 years old, he rose to fame after winning the fourth season of the famous fashion reality show Project Runway, becoming the youngest designer to win this competition.
From there, offers poured in. After launching his own clothing line, he signed contracts with Puma, Victoria's Secret, and even Starbucks, for whom he designed exclusive gift cards.
No one could resist the charm of the young Italian designer. Ellen Degeneres interviewed him on her show and shortly after, he appeared in an episode of the popular television series "Ugly Betty." His designs were in such high demand that to see his garments, one had to go to luxury shopping centers like Saks Fifth Avenue or Neiman Marcus.
And now, thanks to his collaboration with the well-known brand of accessoriesand shoes, Payless, his fans will be able to enjoy his designs at affordable prices.
"I started collaborating with Payless a couple of years ago and I couldn't be happier," proudly stated the designer at the presentation of his new Gold collection for Payless at the Westside Pavilion in Los Angeles. "My goal is to bring my designs to all budgets and all ages so that both 60-year-old women and 16-year-olds can find something they like when they enter a Payless store."
The Gold line is inspired by his runway show from the 2011 fall season of New York Fashion Week and includes high shoes with a hidden platform, ankle boots, dressy ballet flats, and heeled boots. As for accessories, he presented two clutch bags, one in fuchsia to match open-toe shoes, and another in green with gold studs, which is the designer's favorite in this collection.
The chosen materials include suede, leather, and imitation patent leather, but the best part is undoubtedly the price. "Buying a handbag for just $23 to match $30 ballet flats is a unique opportunity that all fashion lovers will appreciate," said the renowned designer.
