Banquets tailored to your budget

Whether the budget for banquets comes with two, three, or four zeros, quinceañeras can find a convenient service that sets the table to satisfy the palate, with variety and fun.

An original recipe from the state of Jalisco is birria, the traditional stewed meat dish that always fits many celebrations. Birria is seasoned with cilantro, lemon, and spicy sauce or broth, which is specially made for the stew. It is usually served with rice, beans, and tortillas, and is almost always prepared by a family member in most celebrations.

Birria is cooked in large pots, ideal for serving many guests. The cost of the service is calculated by quantity, not by plate, which is approximately $1,250 for about 250 guests.

Almost as popular as birria are sit-down dinners, served among relatives that create that same family atmosphere. With guests seated around a table, the food is served in long portions, which are placed in the center of the table. A guest then takes the first plate, serves themselves, and passes it to the next guest on their right. This continues until all the guests and all the plates are served.

Almost any type of food can be served in this way, including ethnic dishes, grilled meat, or any food from your country. Most family food providers require a minimum number of plates that can be ordered, and also calculate the price per plate. A meal that includes a main course, seven types of accompaniments, a roll, dessert, and drinks can cost $15.00 per person, for a minimum of 125 plates.

Another interactive way to entertain guests is to offer a cocktail hour before dinner is served. Although this offering is generally associated with five-course served dinners, having this service can become the focal point of your celebration.

Upon arrival at your party, guests are offered a cocktail hour that can range from traditional drinks to special mixes made to match the concept of your party.

Once the cocktail hour is over, the guests are led to the table where a lavish five-course dinner awaits them, which can include a light soup, salad, an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Most banquet services and venues that serve this type of dinner can charge between $13 and $50 (or more) per person.
