Latino Traditions Shine in 2025: Quinceañera.com Expo Honors Culture, Family, and Resilience Amid Uncertain Times

Los Angeles, October 2025 — In a year marked by shifting immigration policies and economic uncertainty, thousands of Latino families continue to celebrate their heritage and resilience through one of their most cherished traditions—the quinceañera. The final Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show of 2025, presented by El Clasificado, filled the Long Beach Convention Center with over 1,600 attendees, closing the season with color, culture, and confidence in the future.

The event delivered a full day of inspiration—showcasing stunning gowns, choreographed chambelán performances, live music, and vendors offering everything from catering and décor to limousines and photography. For many attendees, the Expo was not just about event planning; it was about preserving an intergenerational celebration that defines Latino identity and joy.

“My daughter will celebrate her quinceañera in 2026, and thanks to the Expo, we’ve already found her dream dress,” shared Sandra López of Los Angeles. “It makes us proud to celebrate our culture.”
Fourteen-year-old Belén Avalos, attending her first Expo, added: “I felt like a princess when I tried on the red gown with the long train and big bow—it was unforgettable.”

Latino Spending Power Draws National Brands

This year’s Expo also drew new sponsors, including Total Wine & More, underscoring how major U.S. retailers are recognizing Latino consumers as a driving economic force.

“Latinos make up nearly 30% of our customers, and our corporate office understands the importance of this community’s spending power,” said Miguel Aguilar, Manager at Total Wine & More in Redondo Beach.

According to NielsenIQ (2025), Hispanic and Latino shoppers now represent $2.7 trillion in spending power and contribute 23% of total U.S. dollar growth, a figure reflected in the thriving quinceañera industry nationwide.

Tradition Meets New Challenges

Still, vendors acknowledge the year’s challenges. While early 2025 saw strong sales through midsummer, many families have since postponed or canceled celebrations due to fear and financial strain. Reports of increased immigration raids and rising import tariffs have further complicated business.

“We used to pay $1 per yard for tulle; now it’s $1.25,” said César Olivares and Pedro B., owners of La Quinceañera by Decoradísimo. “If the new 100% tariff goes into effect, it will double prices. It’s going to affect families and small boutiques alike.”

Despite these pressures, the quinceañera tradition continues to evolve and expand. More families of diverse backgrounds—African American, Asian, and Anglo—are embracing the celebration, reflecting its universal appeal. Trends in design have also shifted, with bold color combinations like black and red replacing traditional pastels, blending modern tastes with cultural pride.

Vendors and Entrepreneurs Thrive Through Connection

The event remains a vital platform for Latino-owned small businesses.

“This Expo allows us to connect directly with families,” said Yazmin Zakarian, Catering Manager at the Long Beach Marriott. “Quinceañeras are moments Latinos invest in deeply—emotionally and financially.”

Veteran sponsor Jaime Gutierrez of Sky White Films, who has participated for 14 consecutive years, added: “Ninety-nine percent of my clients are Latino. The turnout and the energy here make this Expo essential for my business.”

Entrepreneurs like María Elena Becerra of Girasol Cocina Mexicana and Alex Gourmany of LV Limo Service also credited the Expo with giving them direct access to new customers and valuable brand visibility.

A Celebration of Heritage and Hope

While 2025 tested Latino families and small businesses, the Quinceanera.com Expo and Fashion Show stood as a symbol of perseverance. Each gown, each dance, and each photo captured at the Expo reflected more than event planning—it reflected unity, love, and cultural endurance.

“Our message to families is simple,” said one exhibitor. “Enjoy the planning process. A quinceañera is more than a party—it’s a legacy.”
