One of the many challenging aspects of planning a Quinceañera party is finding a guy to be your escort.

Traditionally, his role is known as a «chambelán de honor», which actually translates from English as «honorable dance partner». If you have a special guy in mind and are waiting for him to be your dance partner on your Quinceañera day, of course, you have to ask him first.

To be on the safe side, it is recommended that you give yourself plenty of time to choose your chambelán. You'll need time to learn the dances, so you'll want to make sure you ask him at least several months in advance.

Also, keep in mind that not everyone will want or be able to take on the responsibility of being a chambelán, so be prepared with a list of guys to ask, in case your first choice says no.

It's actually a great idea to ask him in a fun way that will make them more likely to say «yes». You can make a card with a sweet message, followed by your proposal.

You can also surprise him with a huge bunch of balloons detailing your special question. Most guys love to eat, so another impressive way to ask him to be your chambelán would be to accompany your proposal with something he enjoys, like his favorite dessert. It will be very hard for him to say «no» after you've taken the trouble to bake a delicious cake and spell out «Will you be my chambelán?».
