If you're having trouble choosing the best date for your Quinceañera, let us help you.

If you're in the dilemma of choosing a day other than your birthday for your Quinceañera party, consider these simple tips that can help you make this important decision.

The day you like the most: If your birthday falls on a Monday and you don't plan to have your Quinceañera on such a busy day, you can choose any other occasion, even at another time of the year. For example, if you were born in winter and would like to have your party in spring or summer, or vice versa.

The most auspicious day: There are some Quinceañera traditions and beliefs that assign better omens to certain days. Therefore, some people of Catholic roots like to celebrate on Thursdays, some religions do not allow celebrations if it is Sabbath, or maybe you would find it strange to have your party on Friday the 13th if you are superstitious.

Solstices: For example, the spring equinox (March 21) is a popular day because since ancient times special qualities have been attributed to these dates when the balance between day and night is at its exact point. But also, solstices, like summer (June 21), are favorites. Some girls like to coincide their party with other dates such as Carnival, or Halloween to wear costumes. Similarly, the day of your namesake saint or family patron are popular dates.

The day that is more economical for you: Celebrating on the weekend is ideal because people can fully enjoy without worrying about the time or work commitments. However, keep in mind that some venues offer discounts for parties on less busy days. If you feel comfortable with this idea, or if you delayed your decision and can't find an available venue for your Quinceañera, this is a valid option.

The day when more guests can come: Many times our guests come from afar and find it difficult to attend a party, unless they can have the closeness of a long weekend or a few extra days to arrive and return. Consider this if you want your friends and family who have to travel long distances to come to your Quinceañera party, or they'll have to watch you put on high heels via webcam.
