How to plan your Quinceañera one year in advance

Organizing a Quinceañera is a huge and exciting task. But don't worry, our Quinceanera.com planner can help you determine what you need to organize from a year to 6 months before your Quince!

12 months before your Quinceañera:

1. Download our Quinceanera.com App.

We currently have 150 thousand downloads... and counting, of our Quinceanera.com app. You can use it to find vendors, ideas for party themes, articles to plan the Quince party of your dreams, and more.

2. Set a budget

One of the most important steps before even thinking about visiting a place or seeing the color of your Quince dress is to set a budget. Calculate the average price of the things that are most important and essential to have at your party and create a budget that you and your family can afford. Don't be afraid to try to negotiate prices with vendors.

3. Book a venue

Once you have established your budget, it's time for the fun part! Start by booking a venue a year in advance. Ask if they have special packages for Quinceañeras or if having the party on a Friday or Sunday night is an option for your family and friends; believe me, you can save a lot of dollars.

10 months before your Quinceañera:

1. Choose a theme or colors

Will the color of your Quince theme be your favorite color or a color that is meaningful to you? You have time to think about it.

2. Attend a XV Expo

Visit one of our expos in Las Vegas or California for inspiration for your Quince party! Here is a calendar of our expos for 2020.

3. Search for vendors

If you have already booked a venue for the party, ask for a list of their preferred vendors. This list includes the names of vendors who are familiar with the event venue. Also do your homework and check Yelp and other review sources on social media.

8 months before your Quinceañera:

1. Decide if you want a court of honor

Will you have all your cousins in your court of honor? Will you have only chambelanes? Who will be your ladies? When there's just over half a year left for your Quince, it's time to start asking parents for permission for those who will form your court of honor.

2. Choose vendors

Now is the time to choose the vendors you have seen do a great job at events like this and offer you a price you can afford.

3. Draft your guest list

Start making a list of your cousins, your best friends, your grandparents, and more.

6 months before your Quinceañera:

1. Send out reminder cards for your party

You can make some easy and affordable cards online, or take a cute photo and send it to all your contacts.

2. Select your dress

One of the most fun preparations: choosing your dress! Check out Quinceañera dress vendors on our app, at our expos, or look on our website for Quince dress ideas!

3. Shop for accessories

Now that you have selected the dress of your dreams, it's time to start looking for accessories like the tiara, shoes, and jewelry you would like to wear with the dress.
