Questions when booking your mass

The most important spiritual aspect of a Quinceañera ceremony can be overshadowed if you don't inform yourself about the rules the church may have.

Aside from asking if the church is available on the desired date, there are other doubts you need to clarify such as: Do you need to take preparation classes? Can you bring a live mariachi band?

Regarding the mass, some parishes require attending preparation classes similar to First Communion courses. Clarify this with your church representative and ask if there's a cost for the mass. Check if it'll be a private mass or if you'll share it with other Quinceañeras, and if there are dress restrictions, such as not showing shoulders. Additionally, you can ask if some readings in the ceremony can be changed or if you can take photographs in the church and with the priest.

Most parishes have strict restrictions for photographers and videographers. Inquire about this and also about decoration rules, like the allowed time for decorations and if confetti, rose petals, or bubbles are permitted.

If you're looking for a venue, ask if the parish offers one for the reception. Many churches provide halls for a fraction of the cost compared to regular venues as long as you celebrate your mass with them.

Don't forget to ask about available rooms for the Quinceañera to get ready and about wheelchair accessibility.
