Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel

Frequent traveler here who rarely has bad reviews but I am so annoyed!!! Do not be fooled by the pictures posted for this hotel. It is run down and looks old and smells musky. The carpet in the looks dirty and the bar is from the 90s.Not to mention terrible service. I stood there for 7 min waiting for someone to come serve, there was no one to be seen. Had to ask a another employee to get someone. The rooms are small and also musky. Not to mention that we paid for a room not with a balcony but with view and when we arrived at our room we were staring out at the roof and a wall. The tips of the trees were barely visible. I went back down to ask to be moved and willing to pay but were told they were over booked and negative 8 rooms. I am so so disappointed. We were going to book something cheaper since it’s just a weekend but booked here for the view. I expected to sit and drink some coffee and look out at a beautiful Mountain View. Instead I’m feeling gross and claustrophobic in a small dark room with no view. If I were by myself 100% I would check out and find somewhere else to stay. Also, the ice machines looked so old and gross there’s no way I was getting ice there. Went outside to at least get fresh air and the terrace area was full of food crumbs, trash and glasses on tables. No one cleaning up. Pros: Room: good hot water and water pressure. Clean bathroom. Outside: pool is decent size and there’s a hot tub. Btw I checked in early on the app to ensure a decent room and still seem to have gotten the crappiest one

Do not stay. Old hotel that they apparently decided to cover up the age with noxious fragrance. It feels like I’m staying inside of a toxic artificial fragrance bottle. Difficult to breath. Asked to be changed to room with balcony so I could breath. The artificial fragrance in the room is so strong, it’s actually streaming out onto the balcony. Completely unacceptable. This is in addition to the facilities and room features being old and dated. Throat and nose suffering. Not up to Marriot standards. Really not ok. The staff has been nice and friendly.

Caution read all reviews,I didn't. DO NOT BOOK HERE. I'm a platinum elite member with 70 nights a year on average not to mention I use Marriott to book all my employees stays as well , and it makes no difference here.Rick is the general manager and will not return your call, nor will any management help you with issues. Was charged full price on my card after booking with points due to bridge being out on coast we were stuck in traffic had to cancel. We even stayed at another Marriott property. We are loyal to the brand .They wouldn't even honor any points for stay. Trust me, stay at a courtyard or springhill or any other Marriott property except this one.I waited to post this to see if they would make an effort,and nothing. Usually, Marriott is very accommodating. I feel like my business is not appreciated.

overall basic and not great for what they market themselves to be. This is the type of hotel that has a chip on its shoulder and treats it’s customer like trash. The type of hotel that charges you a service fee and a delivery fee on top of your room service. the quality of food is mid and nothing special especially for the price. The pool is not large and is surrounded by mediocre pool lounges. The bar in the lobby is ok but not worth for the stay. Overall the stay for the price is not good.
