Have Printed Quinceanera Invitations Gone Out of Style?

Planning your Quinceañera is super excitingbut it can also feel a little overwhelming with all the questions that pop up about your big dayDon’t worry, at quinceanera.comwe’re here to guidyou steby stephelping you turn your dream celebration into reality.

Once you’ve made your guest list and decided who will be there, the next step is to order your invitations. But should they be digital or printed? Let’s break it down.

Digital or Printed InvitationsWhich Is the Best Option for My Quinceanera?

We asked three Quinceañera invitation experts in California, and the answer was clear: printed invitations are a classic that never go out of style. They add elegance, show respect for your guests, and become a beautiful keepsake from your special day.

Here’s what the experts shared:

Yareli Zamora, a designer of specialized paper and acrylic invitations, mentions that her clients usually send digital invitations to friends, but for family members, godparents, or special guests, they prefer printed invitations.

Guadalupe Cortes, owner of Coquety Designs, says that 80% of her clients choose traditional printed invitations, while only 20% go for digital ones. She explains, “A Quinceañera isn’t just any birthday—it’s an event meant to be unforgettable, and a printed invitation becomes a memorable keepsake.”

Maritza, the owner of Invitation Designer Eventdecor and who has been creating Quinceañera invitations for eight years, believes that digital invitations lose a bit of formality. She adds, “Giving a printed invitation makes the guest feel more special.”

After deciding on the type of invitation, it’s a good idea to plan your timeline. One popular strategy is to send a “Save the Date” before the official invitations.

What does “Save the Date” Mean?

Save the Date is a simple way to let your guests reserve the date in advance. It’s not the full invitation, it only includes your name (the Quinceañera), the event date, and the city. This helps your guests plan ahead and allows you to create a more accurate guest list. Once your attendance is confirmed, you can confidently send out the official invitations - printed or digital.

Quinceañeras now create Save the Dates in many different ways: printed cards, digital designs, photoshoots, or even videos. Once guests RSVP, the Quinceañera can confidently send the full invitations, printed or digital.
